Throughout 2025, DSAuk has enjoyed a busy and rewarding year, marked by major national events, new initiatives, and continued commitment to supporting our members across the UK.

We delivered four successful National Events, bringing together more than 350 members to take part in sport. These events showcased the strength and spirit of our athletes and highlighted the importance of inclusive sporting opportunities.

In March, we also hosted the British Long Distance Swim Challenge across three locations, welcoming swimmers of all ages and abilities to take on the water and push their personal goals. Our annual Camping Weekend was another standout moment, offering families and members the chance to connect, try new activities, and enjoy a memorable outdoor experience.

The regions have also continued to host a wide variety of events across the country on a regular basis. These local activities play a vital role in keeping our community connected, active, and engaged throughout the year. None of this would be possible without the dedication and hard work of our Regional Coordinators, whose commitment ensures members have access to enjoyable and inclusive opportunities close to home.

Beyond events, DSAuk continued to expand its impact through key partnerships and projects. We worked closely with the National Paralympic Heritage Trust on the development of a new online exhibition set to launch in the New Year, celebrating stories, achievements, and the history of our community.

Our presence within the wider disability sport sector remains strong, particularly through our ongoing collaboration with the Youth Sport Trust. This year, we further supported schools through our Awareness Programme, helping educators and pupils better understand disability sport and fostering more inclusive environments for young people with dwarfism.

At DSAuk HQ, vital work also continued behind the scenes. Our Board and Trustees remained actively engaged throughout the year, ensuring strong governance and strategic direction. Safeguarding remained at the forefront of our efforts, with continuous reviews and best-practice improvements to protect and support all members.

As we look ahead, we are proud of what has been achieved in 2025 and excited to build on this momentum creating even more opportunities, visibility, and support for our community in the years to come.
