Further information regarding the 1st Newcastle Achondroplasia Symposium.

1st Newcastle Achondroplasia Symposium

There are now only 5 weeks left until the 1st Newcastle Achondroplasia Symposium takes place on 20th and 21st September 2014.

Michael Wright has asked us to reiterate that this Symposium is for adults and older teenagers with Achondroplasia and not children. We believe that there will be other symposiums for children and other conditions to follow.

Some parents have enquired if they could attend on behalf of their children.  We have asked this question and have been told that this is fine, however, spaces will be allocated to full members first.

For more information please contact Liz Womack at projects@restrictedgrowth.co.uk or Sharon McDonnell at Sharon.mcdonnell@nuth.nhs.uk. If you require details of hotel packages, please contact Liz.

We would be very grateful if DSA members would be kind enough to complete the 1st Newcastle Achondroplasia Symposium Survey.

The views of DSA members are vital to the success of this project. It would be very helpful if as many members as possible could complete a survey before the Symposium takes place. Even if you are unable to attend in person, your views are needed and we would be grateful if you could complete the survey. The link is:

If you are planning to participate in the Symposium, please email Liz Womack at projects@restrictedgrowth.co.uk or Sharon McDonnell at Sharon.mcdonnell@nuth.nhs.uk.to notify them of your attendance. Please also email tim.shephard@dsauk.org to advise DSA.
