We are incredibly proud and excited to share some wonderful news for our community in the Scotland region. DSAuk has been awarded a grant from the Lottery in Scotland, a milestone that marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for people living with dwarfism across Scotland.
This generous funding will allow us to employ a Scottish Development Officer for a two-year period, a role that will play a vital part in strengthening and growing our presence in Scotland. The post will be part time and focused on creating meaningful change for our members.
With the support of this role, we aim to develop the DSAuk Scotland region even further, bringing bigger and better events, engaging with more people, and encouraging the growth of local events in more areas of the country. Just as importantly, this role will help to bring together the community of people living with dwarfism in Scotland, ensuring that no one feels isolated and that connections can flourish.
Scotland has a vibrant and diverse community, and this project will help us reach new families, individuals, and supporters, while strengthening the bonds between those already involved. It’s about creating opportunities, building confidence, and ensuring that people living with dwarfism feel supported, visible, and connected wherever they live.
We would like to say a huge thank you to the Lottery in Scotland for recognising the importance of this project and for believing in the difference it will make. Their support will have a lasting impact on our members and the wider dwarfism community across Scotland.
Details about the role, including the job description and application forms, will be available on our website in the week commencing 5th January 2026. We encourage anyone who is passionate about community development and making a real difference to keep an eye on our website and consider applying.
This is an exciting step forward for DSAuk in Scotland, and we can’t wait to see the positive changes this new role will bring.
